KING CRIMSON ~ LIZARD VIRGIN KC 3 ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock 3rd album from 1970. Almost complete change of direction for the band with strong jazz influence incorporated into the initial formats defined by the the first two albums. The origianal band is no more present here, with Fripp taking over completely. The cream of the crop of UK jazz participates on this album, as initially indicated by the inclusion of Keith Tippett and Jon Anderson (Yes) sings on one track. In retrospect this is the boldest and most exciting statement by the first (well almost) incarnation of the band. Absolutely essential. 30th Anniversary Edition. Out of print collectors` item.
