As the title suggests, the 6th album by the Hungarian Prog masters After CryingFind albums by this artist. Slightly more electronic and advanturous this time, definitely more complicated and not as immediate, buy its beauty reveals itself after several attentive listening sessions.

  | AFTER CRYING ~ CREATURA PERIFERIC 201 (Barcode: 5998272708722) ~ HUNGARY ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 2011 Released: 2011
This is the 11th album by the great Hungarian Prog group After CryingFind albums by this artist and their first studio release after almost a decade. A work of epic proportions, the album brings us 23 short pieces, divided into four long suites. The overall scope of the rich instrumentation and the majestic music is absolutely stunning and again the group easily arrives at the top of contemporary Prog, leaving almost every other Prog group far, far behind. The six members of the group, playing a plethora of instruments between them and including three great composers are a formidable force. They are supported by fifteen guest musicians, sounding at times like a symphonic orchestra, both stylistically and sonically. The music is absolutely brilliant, from start to end, heavily influenced by Classical romanticisms, but sounding fresh and contemporary. Peter PejtsikFind albums by this artist is back at the cello, heartbreakingly squeezing those sad motifs, as he did on the band´s early albums. The album also returns to Hungarian vocals, or rather recitation, which of course I always support. Hungarian might not be the most popular language on earth, but its original resonance suits this music perfectly. In short, this is a most welcome comeback and a great piece of music, which should give you a most pleasurable musical experience, if you´re into unusual and challenging stuff. If you hear differently (I´ve read some cold reviews), just know that some people have no clue whatsoever about music. Brilliance all over!

4th album by the extraordinary Hungarian group After CryingFind albums by this artist. It takes about 5 seconds to realize this is another masterpiece when you hear the choir opening this epic. Deeply involving and breathtaking music, which must be heard. All members of the group get ample opportunity to display their virtuosity here, with long instrumental passages and improvised sections. The compositions are all memorable and although complex, they flow naturally. What an experience!

  | AFTER CRYING ~ SHOW PERIFERIC 101 (Barcode: 5998272705486) ~ HUNGARY ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 2003 Released: 2003
10th album and first studio recording after 6 years by the brilliant Hungarian Prog band After CryingFind albums by this artist. Although much more "song" oriented (intentionally so) then their earlier symphonic Prog works, this is a suberb album in every aspect - beautiful melodies, perfect playing and rich and imaginative instrumentation. For true fans it is always a blessing to hear new and fresh material from one of the top Prog groups around.

  | FERENC TORMA ~ I CRY OUT IN THE WILDERNESS PERIFERIC 213 (Barcode: 5998272708678) ~ HUNGARY ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 2011 Released: 2011
This is a brilliant debut album by After CryingFind albums by this artist guitarist Ferenc TormaFind albums by this artist, a monumental concept album based on the life of John the Baptist. As usual with musicians belonging to the After Crying clique, we are talking about a full-fledged, almost symphonic scale work with rich orchestral arrangements, choir and a strong Classical Music influence. The list of participants includes twenty musicians, who play a plethora of instruments and sing either lead or chorus lines. Some Prog enthusiasts might find this music slightly "too serious" for their liking, but honestly this is Prog at its very best: intelligent, musical and challenging, with no clichés and boring repetitions. Admittedly a serious listening is definitely required in order to fully appreciate this beautiful piece of music, but the intellectual and aesthetic pleasure it bestows upon the listener in truly wonderful. Connoisseurs of the After Crying legacy will have no trouble to enjoy this music, but I certainly hope that others will discover it as well, as it truly deserves to be discovered. Most warmly recommended!

The only album by this group led by After CryingFind albums by this artist pianist Csaba VedresFind albums by this artist. As expected, this is every bit as good as the early After Crying stuff and a must to all their followers. Beautiful instrumental music using piano, cello (the Hungarian specialty it seems), bass, drums and trumpet. In short, don`t even think twice!

  | TRYO ~ VIAJES MYLODON 030 ~ CHILE ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 2004 - 2005 Released: 2005
5th album by the Chilean Prog band TryoFind albums by this artist, a magnificent opus of contemporary music performed entirely by the acoustic version of the band. Acoustic guitar, cello and a plethora of percussion instruments create a serene, somewhat melancholic mood, which suits the compositions perfectly. The cello is featured as the front instrument on most pieces (strongly reminiscent of the early albums by the Hungarian band After CryingFind albums by this artist) with marimba and vibes providing the harmonics. This is heartbreakingly beautiful music worthy of repeated listening sessions in a variety of moods. It absolutely touches the soul of every sensitive person and I am enchanted, delighted and deeply moved by this music every time I listen to it. Essential!
