Debut solo album by Roye AlbrightonFind albums by this artist, the lead singer and guitarist of NektarFind albums by this artist. An excellent concept work, mostly intrumental. Some superb guitar playing in various styles, very tight and consistent with a dash of blues, funk and fusion. Guitar fans and the many fans of the group will love that one. Available on CD for the first time.

  | NEKTAR ~ A TAB IN THE OCEAN ECLECTIC 1201 ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock
2nd album from 1972 by this excellent Prog band. Although British, Nektar never enjoyed much popularity in UK and their home and fan base was mainly in Germany, therefore many people consider them a German band, which of course is false. The material is considerd a classic by now of course. This edition includes both the original album and the later (1976) remixed version of the US release.

  | NEKTAR ~ EVOLUTION ECLECTIC 1205 ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock
In 2004 Nektar have recorded an album of new material, called `Evolution` and this was the first time in over twenty years that Roye, Ron and Taff have recorded new material together, with new member Randy Dembo playing bass guitar. The title apprpriately describes the music: the old great quality is all there as are the new recording technology and musical ideas. It seams that those 20+ years of silence just made the band stronger. Pribably one of the best come-back albums ever!

  | NEKTAR ~ JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EYE ECLECTIC 1203 ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock
1st album from 1972. In retrospect this is a masterpiece of Proto-Prog which marks the transformation from psychedelic and space-rock genres into Prog. Roye Allbrighton and Co. come up with an amazing acheivment on their debut, which of course was just a hint of great things which followed. The new SACD treatment gives the music an entire new dimention and is an exciting musical experience.

  | NEKTAR ~ LIVE IN NEW YORK ECLECTIC 1206/7 ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock
9th album from 1977 which was recorded live back in 1974 during Nektar`s first US tour in NY. The band play they hearts out here with a mixture of material from all their albums and some one-time only performances. The original album had a dubious sound quality, which is significantly improved here. This is a great historical document of this band`s lasting hesritage.

  | NEKTAR ~ MAN IN THE MOON VOICEPRINT 259 ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock
Last album by this British Prog band from 1980, before they disbanded (to be re-united recently). Although more conventional then their previous efforts, the band is still a great unit here with evident talent and Prog ties. Songs are shorter then the epic Prog works they performed on the earlier albums, but melodies are great as ever and the production and performance spotless. Remastered.

  | NEKTAR ~ RECYCLED ECLECTIC 1202 ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock
8th album from 1976. Another Nektar landmark, this wonderful album finally sees the CD release it deserves. Recorded over the summer of 1975, `Recycled` was originally mixed by Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick at Air Studios in London. Further work and overdubs were subsequently added and the album changed feel considerably, notably due to the contribution of synthesiser wizard Larry Fast. This expanded CD release includes the full album remastered from the original master tapes and the full `Geoff Emerick` version of the album as a bonus feature.

  | NEKTAR ~ REMEMBER THE FUTURE ECLECTIC 1204 ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock
4th album from 1973 and considered by many the band`s creative peak. The album is one long composition divided into 4 parts, a concept album of sorts. Well written and excellently performed this is a classic of the genre. The album was very well received in Europe and established Nektar as a primary Prog band in Germany. A classic by all standards.
