ROCKET SCIENTISTS ~ BRUTAL ARCHITECTURE
KINESIS 1017 ~ USA ~ Progressive Rock

Recorded: 1966 Released: 1966

2nd album by the great US Prog band Rocket ScientistsFind albums by this artist, led by the keyboards player Erik NorlanderFind albums by this artist, is one of the best Neo-Prog outfits around. They take things from the focal point where groups like Yes left it and bring it up-to-date. Very symphonic sound and beautiful melodies.

ROCKET SCIENTISTS ~ EARTH BELOW AND SKY ABOVE
THINK TANK 1019 ~ USA ~ Progressive Rock

Recorded: 1977 Released: 1977

3rd album by Rocket ScientistsFind albums by this artist, an excellent live album, which includes many of the compositions from their first two albums. This is an important US Prog band lead by the keyboards player Erik NorlanderFind albums by this artist. His abilities are very well complemented by the other band`s members and this is a prime example of what a great symphonic Prog show is all about - energy, virtuosity and good music.

ROCKET SCIENTISTS ~ REVOLUTION ROAD
THINK TANK 1050 (Barcode: 802610105027) ~ USA ~ Progressive Rock

Recorded: 2006 Released: 2006

5th album by US Prog trio Rocket ScientistsFind albums by this artist, led by keyboards wizard Erik NorlanderFind albums by this artist and active since the mid-1990s, continues their splendid output so far. Although rarely mentioned as one of the top Prog acts, they are truly excellent and often much more ambitious and intelligent than most other acts of the genre. Norlander is an extraordinary instrumentalist (a "one man orchestra") and a great composer with highly developed sense of melody and harmony. Guitarist Mark McCriteFind albums by this artist (who is a founding member) and bass / stick player Don SchiffFind albums by this artist (who joined the band on the second album) create some mighty music here, powerful at times, lyrical at others, which is a pure delight for any Symphonic / Neo-Prog enthusiast. The album recorded almost 8 years after their last release, presents almost 2 hours of Prog at its best, full of excellent instrumental passages and long, well developed musical themes. For people familiar with the band´s legacy this one is no surprise, for those who are not, this is a splendid opportunity to get acquainted with one the best bands around.
