This lavish 6 CD box brings us the complete output recorded by these two geniuses between 1957 and 1968. Most of the music Miles recorded was in a standard jazz setting (quartets, quintets, etc.) but with the superb arrangements by Evans he had the power of an entire jazz orchestra behind him, which complemented his virtuosity and conveyed his unearthly talents. The set includes the 4 milestone albums: Miles Ahead, Porgy and Bess, Sketches of Spain, and Quiet Nights and of course hours of additional material, beautifully remastered. This is visionary music that should leave on listener untouched. A must!
