Bachner, who is one of the busiest players on the local scene, was a member of the sadly deactivated Vienna Art OrchestraFind albums by this artist, and is now a member of the excellent Upper Austrian Jazz OrchestraFind albums by this artist (led by Maurer), but also records leading his own Big Band and smaller ensembles as well as playing in many other outfits, in addition to his composing and teaching duties. As this album shows Bachner is a trombone virtuoso, capable of making his instrument sing sweetly and deliver complex sequences, which normally are not associated with the trombone, which sadly is a much neglected instruments in Jazz as far as soloing is concerned. He is also a gifted composer, able to weave beautiful melodic themes, full of lyricism and melancholy, but also swing hard in his other compositions. Accompanied by four excellent Jazz musicians, he offers on this album wonderful modern mainstream Jazz, which is a delightful musical experience from start to finish. The album won the album of the year prize in Austria in 2006, which is hardly surprising. For European Jazz lovers who are not familiar with the Austrian scene, this album is a great introduction both to the local talents and the vitality of the music being performed there. This is definitely something not only to be discovered but also something to be followed, as the scene is alive and kicking. For trombone enthusiasts, this is an absolute must have. The BB comprises of a five piece reed section, a four piece trumpet section, a four piece trombone section and a four piece rhythm section. Bachner, who conducts the BB, plays trombone soli on three tracks and his wife Karin BachnerFind albums by this artist adds vocals on two tracks. The album presents nine compositions, five of which are originals by Bachner and four are standards. This album shows Bachner more as a composer and bandleader than as a trombone virtuoso, which he certainly is as well. The superb original compositions of his are perfect vehicles for the BB to spread its wings and present its wonderful ability to swing smoothly like a baby´s bottom, and yet show the depth, sophistication and power of a BB sound, which undoubtedly is the most versatile and powerful "instrument" within the Jazz idiom. Bachner, although schooled and influenced by American Jazz, is still perfectly able to preserve the European Jazz aesthetics, which is most obvious in the BB treatment of the standards, which have been also often recorded by American BB, and which can be compared. In his intelligent liner notes Bachner tells the tale of each of the tunes and the circumstances leading to their appearance on the album, which is also a greatly educational read about the Austrian Jazz scene and especially about other Austrian Big Bands, clearly showing that Austria was and still is a very fertile ground for this particular subgenre. For European Jazz lovers who are not familiar with the Austrian scene, this album is a great introduction both to the local talents and the vitality of the music being performed there. For Jazz Big Band enthusiasts, this is an absolute must have. Wholeheartedly recommended!

Between them they play all the possible saxophones, clarinet, bass clarinet and flute and of course compose their original material. For this album they are expanded to a sextet by bassist Robert RieglerFind albums by this artist and drummer Wolfgang RainerFind albums by this artist. The album presents fourteen original compositions by the quartet members and celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the quartet existence. Saxofour are undoubtedly a very unique saxophone quartet among other (mostly American) such ensembles, since they are able to create a truly amazing orchestral sound and ambience due to the wide range of instruments they are able to utilize and the devilishly clever and intricate arrangements. This often results in the quartet sounding closer to a Jazz Big Band rather than a quartet, especially on this album with the addition of the rhythm section. Each of the quartet members participates in many other activities on the Austrian Jazz scene, composes and teaches music, all being amongst the most respected Jazz personalities in their country. Maurer is a leader and founder of the fabulous Upper Austrian Jazz OrchestraFind albums by this artist and the other three were members of the Vienna Art OrchestraFind albums by this artist, one of Europe’s most important Jazz ensembles of all time. The music is, as expected, absolutely delightful, spanning a wide and diverse range of stylistic characteristics, but always superbly crafted and perfectly executed. The rhythm section is wonderfully merged with the saxophone quartet, enriching the music significantly, especially by the beautiful fretless bass parts. Overall, this is a beautiful example of European Jazz at its best, which offers elegance, sophistication and intelligence rarely found elsewhere. True Jazz lovers should be absolutely delighted by this music from start to finish, as it really helps to celebrate the joy of life!

On this album they combine forces with the wonderful Portuguese vocalist Maria JoaoFind albums by this artist. The album presents twelve compositions, seven of which are by the great Portuguese pianist / composer Mario LaginhaFind albums by this artist, five are by the quartet members and one is a standard. Joao wrote the lyrics to three of the compositions. All the music was arranged by the quartet members. The music is an orgy of creativity and spontaneity, combining the exquisite sound created by the saxophone quartet with the extraordinary vocal pyrotechnics of Joao. Although seemingly lacking any rhythmic support, this music is full of polyrhythmic complexity, combining the familiar Jazz setting with the exotic South European vivacity. The saxophone quartet is capable of producing a rich and complex soundscape, combining the four individual instruments into an almost symphonic sound environment. The articulation and sophistication of these four superb musicians seems to have absolutely no limits. Joao is of course a living legend, one of the most original and forward thinking European Jazz personas, and most significantly one of the sublime vocal Jazz pioneers, who defined the contemporary role of human voice in Jazz, together with a small and exclusive group of other European female vocalists like Urszula DudziakFind albums by this artist, Lauren NewtonFind albums by this artist, Jeanne LeeFind albums by this artist and a few others. The twelve pieces on this album are all absolute gems with no weak moments whatsoever. The quartet weaves layers of melodic background, spiced with exciting improvisations, and Joao tops the bill with her idiosyncratic vocalese, which is so inventive and refined that it sends waves of pleasure shock down the listener´s spine. The symbiosis between the quartet and Joao is so organic and complete, that it is hard to believe this album was just a one-time cooperation. Overall the album is an exquisite example of European Jazz at its best, full of wonderful music and sublime performances, which should make even the most demanding Jazz connoisseurs completely happy. For vocal Jazz fans this is an absolute must of course, being one of the finest and most tasteful examples of musical ingenuity. Beyond essential!

The orchestra´s lineup features four trumpets, five saxophones, four trombones and a rhythm section (piano, guitar, bass and drums). Vocalist Ali GagglFind albums by this artist, who often takes part in the orchestra´s project, sings on four tracks. The resident guest on this album is the wonderful British arranger / conductor Michael GibbsFind albums by this artist, whose work within the Big Band idiom is second to none. The album was recorded live and presents fourteen brilliant arrangements of classic Jazz standards associated with the repertoire of the legendary American Jazz trombonist / composer / arranger / bandleader Glenn MillerFind albums by this artist. As the album´s title suggests, it is a tribute to Miller´s legacy and celebrates his 101 Birthday. As usual, the orchestra´s performances are absolutely spotless and spiced with the superb arrangements the familiar standards get a sparkling facelift, bringing the music up to date. The individual orchestra members contribute a series of brilliant soli and Gaggl offers her usual heartfelt and passionate vocals. The superb arrangements by Gibbs stand up to the challenge of presenting a new facet of Miller´s sound, which is one of the most commonly familiar illustrations of Jazz music, recognized by listeners who often do not listen to Jazz on a regular basis. As a result this new approach emphasizes the differences between the American Swing of the 1940s and the modern European Big Band sound of today. For more experienced Jazz enthusiasts and scholars of the genre this is a classic school example of the influence of arrangements on the final result in music, and Gibbs if surely one of the best out there to show everybody how it´s done. This album is also a great example of a loving and well planned and executed tribute, which offers a new perspective on all familiar music, managing to eschew clichés and trivializing the core substance of the music, which sadly happens often, especially in connection to Glenn Miller´s legacy. Despite its laid-back exterior, Miller´s approach to Jazz was full of delicate sensitivities and sophistication, all of which are perfectly preserved here. Overall this is a brilliant Big Band album, which offers classy music which is accessible to a wide range of listeners, way beyond the strict Jazz snobs. A pure pleasure from start to finish, this music moves your tapping heels weather you like it or not. Absolutely delightful!

The UAJO albums present usually either a concept or special guest, and in this case both, as the music is dedicated to Jazz interpretations of Brazilian Music and the special guests are Brazilian drummer / composer Fernando PaivaFind albums by this artist and vocalist Verena LoipetsbergerFind albums by this artist. The album presents ten original compositions, five composed by Paiva and arranged by UAJO members, four composed and arranged by UAJO members and one composed and arranged by Anna MaurerFind albums by this artist, Christian’s daughter and a gifted pianist / composer. The music, although full of familiar Latin / Brazilian rhythms and melodies, sounds quite unusual due to the Big Band arrangements and Jazz accents, which are pretty rare as far as Brazilian Jazz is concerned. The orchestra plays, as usual, brilliantly and the vocalese parts by Loipetsberger add another layer of sound, which takes the music away for the standard Brazilian Jazz. Of course Flora PurimFind albums by this artist, Airto MoreiraFind albums by this artist and Hermeto PascoalFind albums by this artist come to mind immediately, but the European tinge is well mixed within the music and takes it apart from what the Brazilian Jazz fans are used to, which is a great fun. Overall, this is a great piece of music, which unusually combines the Latin accents with the Big Band sound, creating a surprising amalgam of European Big Band Jazz and Brazilian elements. The UAJO is definitely one of my favorite European Jazz Big Bands and their versatility and superb paying, intricate arrangements and dedication to the music are apparent here, as on all their recordings, all of which are worth exploring. The album presents twelve original compositions by Puddick, the last five of which are parts of a five-part suite, ominously titled “The Brexit Suite”. The music is a wonderful example of contemporary European Big Band Jazz, full of brilliant compositions dazzlingly executed by the UAJO conducted by Puddick, who managed to travel to Austria from the UK amidst the crazy time dominated by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Brexit crisis. Puddick, who studied with such great Big Band Masters as British Michael GibbsFind albums by this artist and Austrian Hans KollerFind albums by this artist, continues the European tradition, which calls for complex multilayered and cross-genre compositions and ensemble performances, and the UAJO is just the perfect partner in crime to deliver Puddick’s compositions in their full glory. Overall, this is a great piece of music, which combines the best possible characteristics of modern European Jazz compositions with the Big Band sound, creating an irresistible amalgam of European Big Band Jazz. The UAJO is definitely one of my favorite European Jazz Big Bands and their versatility and marvelous playing and dedication to the music are apparent here, as on all their recordings, all of which are worth exploring. This s definitely one of their most impressive achievements, which deserves to be heard by every true Jazz lover around the globe!

The album was recorded in a studio in contrast to most other recordings by the orchestra, which are usually live recordings. Led by saxophonist Christian MaurerFind albums by this artist, the orchestra includes four trumpets, five saxophones, four trombones and a four piece rhythm section. Vocalist Ali GagglFind albums by this artist appears as a guest. The album presents nine compositions inspired by the works of Bruckner, seven of which are composed by orchestra members and one each by Michael GibbsFind albums by this artist and Kenny WheelerFind albums by this artist. Although obviously a Jazz-Classical Fusion project, the music on this album is much more intricate and complex than most other projects of this kind. Usually Jazz-Classical Fusion deals with interpretation of works by Classical composers – see the Vienna Art OrchestraFind albums by this artist albums with music by the Strauss Family or Wolfgang Amadeus MozartFind albums by this artist (just to stay in Austria both with the Jazz and Classical ingredients of the fusion elements). On this album however, the Bruckner "elements" are more suggested than quoted directly, which of course is much more difficulty to conceive to start with and finally execute. But the UAJO manages to achieve the goal brilliantly and with its usual panache and flair. Like with the music by Bruckner, which is certainly far from being easily understood, the music on this album might prove to be slightly more difficult than other UAJO recordings as far as the average listener is concerned. It definitely requires a very attentive listening and perhaps even several listening sessions to be appreciated in its full glory. But it is certainly worth the effort and presents European Big Band Jazz at its best and most elaborate reflection. As usual the album offers many superb soli and extraordinary orchestral work of the highest caliber. Overall this is another recording by the UAJO, which deserves an honorable place on the shelf of every serious record collection. Connoisseurs of Big Band Jazz will be delighted of course as will be serious Jazz-Classical Fusion enthusiasts. Very highly and wholeheartedly recommended!

UPPER AUSTRIAN JAZZ ORCHESTRA ~ DES SOWE AUNDAS ODER… THOMAS BERNHARD GROOVT ATS 0605 (Barcode: 9005216006052) ~ AUSTRIA ~ Jazz Recorded: 2006 Released: 2006 This is an album by the veteran Austrian Jazz Big Band called The Upper Austrian Jazz OrchestraFind albums by this artist, led by saxophonist / composer Christian MaurerFind albums by this artist and comprising of some of the best Austrian Jazz musicians, including four trumpets, four trombones, five reeds and a four-piece rhythm section. Vocalist Ali GagglFind albums by this artist adds some vocal parts and recitation. As almost all the albums by the UAJO, this one was also recorded live and again as usual it offers a concept, which can either be a tribute to a composer or an author, in this case the highly controversial Austrian novelist / playwright / poet Thomas BernhardFind albums by this artist. The album presents eight original compositions (one a two-part piece), each composed by a different member of the orchestra, which also follows the usual modus operandi of the UAJO, and each based on a different text written by Bernhard. Since the album is out of print it took me quite a while before I managed to find a copy (absurdly in the US), but now I am a proud owner of all the eleven albums recorded so far by this wonderful orchestra. The music is a superb collection of modern Jazz compositions, all melody based but diverse stylistically, all elegantly arranged for the Big Band Jazz idiom, skillfully using the entire palette of sounds that such an ensemble is able to produce. Each of the composition reflects the spirit and idea contained in the text it refers to, which offers as a bonus an opportunity for the more inquisitive listeners to read the text in question. The fact that Bernhard was an avid Classical Music lover, which is reflected in his texts, gave the composers another incentive to write something he might have perhaps loved as well. I am grateful to trombonist / composer Robert BachnerFind albums by this artist, who disclosed to me some insights about this album and its making. I enjoyed very much meeting Christian Maurer and Robert Bachner in Vienna in October 2019, where we had an opportunity to chat together about music and have some great food together. The performances by the orchestra members are all stellar, as expected. Considering the fact that this music was recorded live, the synchronicity and interplay are nothing short of astonishing and the orchestra functions like a well oiled Swiss chronometer. As I have already stated, UAJO is a perfect combination of the American Big Band model and the European affluence of elegance and grace, which together create an irresistible musical accomplishment. Hopefully this CD will be back in circulation soon so fans of Big Band Jazz can listen to this music, as it is definitely too good to be forgotten. Each of the orchestra´s albums is a treasure chest of ideas and a schoolbook example of how to do things right in this idiom, this one included of course. Therefore any of them you can lay your hands on is a must have, the sooner the better.

The album was recorded live at the legendary Viennese club Porgy & Bess and presents the orchestra, led by saxophonist Christian MaurerFind albums by this artist, in its full glory: four trumpets, five saxophones, four trombones and a rhythm section (piano / guitar / bass / drums). The double CD album presents fourteen superb compositions by the orchestra members, all inspired / based on original compositions by Koller. Koller, who was one of the great pioneers of European Jazz, working with many German and other European musicians from the 1950s onwards recorded some of the most pivotal Jazz albums of the emerging European Jazz scene, some of them for the legendary MPSFind albums on this label label, truly deserves this loving tribute and it is great to see that his achievements are not forgotten. The music, as expected, is absolutely sublime from start to finish, an exquisite example of European Big Band Jazz music, with sophisticated arrangements, clever balance between the sections, elegance and lyricism, all combined to create a powerful, moving experience. Although recorded live, the orchestra manages to perform the intricate arrangements perfectly and with full emotional engagement. The performance offers many exquisite solos by the orchestra members and the music flows wonderfully for the entire duration, a true feast for the ears. Although Austria is rarely at the center of attention as far as Jazz is concerned, this album clearly proves that the country has a lot to offer in that field. Over the years the Austrian Jazz schools educated generations of excellent musicians and the lively local scene is certainly worth checking out. Many heartfelt thanks to Christian Maurer, who sent me a bunch of his recordings, enabling me to catch up with the Austrian Jazz scene, which I have admittedly neglected lately. Chapeau bas my friend – great job keeping the music alive!

Overall this is a brilliant Big Band album, which offers classy music which is accessible to a wide range of listeners, way beyond the strict Jazz snobs. A pure pleasure from start to finish, this music moves your tapping heels weather you like it or not. Absolutely delightful!

Since the orchestra was founded in 1991 it regularly invites resident artists and over the years these included some of the most prominent names in contemporary Jazz. This album was recorded live during the band´s tour with this project and presents eight tracks, six of which are original compositions by Walrath, one is a previously unrecorded Charles MingusFind albums by this artist composition and the remaining one was composed by Jed LevyFind albums by this artist. All the music was arranged by Walrath especially for the orchestra. The orchestra, as usually, includes a four piece trumpet section, four piece trombone section, five piece reed section and a four piece rhythm section and is led by saxophonist / composer Christian MaurerFind albums by this artist. Walrath plays a solo on each of the tracks, along other soloist of course. The music on this album is closer to the American Big Band music / sound than what the orchestra plays on any other of its recordings, which is hardly surprising under the circumstances. And yet Walrath skillfully left enough of the European identity of this wonderful Big Band, so stay close to its true character. As a result we get what can be possibly considered as the best of both worlds: the precision, tightness and swinging undertones of American Big Band music and the European finesse, sophistication and panache, working hand in hand. The individual and the orchestral performances are, as usual with the UAJO, brilliant from start to finish and again it is simply incredible how such precision, flow and meticulous execution of the multilayered music can be achieved live. But whatever the secret of the UAJO is, it works like a dream. Big Band recordings, especially those by European Big Bands / Orchestras are often full of an incredible amount of details, which needs repeated listening sessions in order to be discovered. This album is definitely one of such albums, which means one has to invest time in order to enjoy the full capacity of artistry this music has to offer. For Big Band / Orchestral Jazz music this album is an absolute must of course and one can only hope it will eventually land in as many good homes as possible. Therefore it is wholeheartedly recommended and my advise is to reach out and grab a copy ASAP – satisfaction guaranteed!

UPPER AUSTRIAN JAZZ ORCHESTRA / KENNY WHEELER ~ PLAYS THE MUSIC OF KENNY WHEELER WEST WIND 2097 (Barcode: 4011778320975) ~ AUSTRIA ~ Jazz Recorded: 1995 Released: 1996 This is the debut album by the Austrian Jazz Big Band called The Upper Austrian Jazz OrchestraFind albums by this artist, founded in 1991 and is still very active almost three decades later. Over the years the orchestra invited many prominent Jazz musicians as guest artists and this album documents the first of such collaborations, which features the legendary British Jazz trumpeter / composer Kenny WheelerFind albums by this artist. The orchestra on this album consists of five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones and a rhythm section (guitar / piano / bass / drums) and of course includes also Wheeler on trumpet and flugelhorn as well as guest vocalist Ali GagglFind albums by this artist. Together they perform nine compositions, six of which are Wheeler originals and three are standards, all of which were arranged by Wheeler. The music was recorded live and offers a wonderful sound quality. The album was produced by saxophonist / composer Christian MaurerFind albums by this artist, who is the living soul and the leader of the orchestra. Of course Austria is a country with a deeply rooted brass tradition and therefore the existence of excellent Austrian Big Bands (Jazz and otherwise) is hardly surprising. It is after all in Austria where the most important European Jazz Big Band, the legendary Vienna Art OrchestraFind albums by this artist, was formed in 1977. The Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra has many subtle stylistic links to the Vienna Art Orchestra, like the use of a female vocalist singing mostly vocalese featured as a member of the orchestra, which was the VAO´s trademark. UAJO is perhaps less adventurous and more "disciplined", but some similarities, at least on this album, are obvious. The music should be familiar to Wheeler´s acolytes and spans his entire career up to the time of the recording of this album, going back to his early album "Windmill TilterFind albums with this title" and including his very recent (at the time) compositions. The wonderful arrangements keep the overall sound of the Big Band beautifully coherent, despite the diversity of the material and allow plenty of space for the orchestra members to play a long series of stunning solos, including Wheeler himself. The vocal parts are an absolute cherry on top. The treatment of the orchestra as one enormously potent musical instrument is wonderfully expressed here, with the emphasis on the European Jazz aesthetics, in which modesty and minimalism are more important than power and showmanship. The perfect harmony achieved by the orchestra throughout this album is miraculous, especially in view of the fact that this is a live recording. Overall this is an absolute gem of an album, which should be an integral part of every Kenny Wheeler collection, but also a schoolbook example of what European Jazz Big Band music is all about. Essential listening!

MANFRED PAUL WEINBERGER NONET ~ IN PRESENCE OF KENNY WHEELER ATS 0970 (Barcode: 9005216009701) ~ AUSTRIA ~ Big Band Jazz Recorded: 2020 Released: 2021 This is an album by Austrian trumpeter / composer Manfred Paul WeinbergerFind albums by this artist and his nonet, which comprises of members of the Upper Austrian Jazz OrchestraFind albums by this artist, including saxophonist Christian MaurerFind albums by this artist and pianist Helmar HillFind albums by this artist among others. As the title suggests, the album is a tribute to the Canadian born British trumpeter / composer Kenny WheelerFind albums by this artist, who cooperated with the UAJO and recorded the splendid “Plays The Music Of Kenny WheelerFind albums with this title” album with the orchestra in 1995. The album presents nine original compositions, eight by Weinberger and one by Hill. The liner notes by another UAJO collaborator, British composer / arranger Michael GibbsFind albums by this artist, sum the essence of this project astutely. The nonet sounds much like a condensed version of the UAJO and offers all of its advantages: brilliant ensemble performances, excellent soloing and above all great compositions, which, as Gibbs says, would surely please Wheeler as well. The modern European Jazz approach, which uses the wonderful palette of a bigger ensemble to the max is the chief asset of this music, which enables it to sound fresh and innovative. For experienced listeners there are plenty of hidden typical quotations and hints to Wheeler’s way of doing things as well as Jazz tradition of course, but also European Classical treasures, one openly stated (Edvard GriegFind albums by this artist) and others subtly hidden in the shadows. Weinberger’s compositions offer a wide scope of approaches, both melodically and harmonically, with various degrees of proximity to the Jazz tradition, which of course also characterized Wheeler’s splendid output over the years. There is of course no shame in admitting the great Master’s influence, which Weinberger emphasizes in his short essay included in the album’s booklet. Overall, this is an excellent European Jazz album, which although recorded by "only” a nonet, firmly resides in the Jazz Big Band idiom and which does that wonderful genre a credit. Full of great music and brilliant performances, this album is a true pleasure to listen to, and more importantly also to find many original approaches, which large Jazz ensembles have to offer. KENNY WHEELER / CHRISTIAN MAURER ~ LIVE AT THE PORGY & BESS PAO 10720 (Barcode: 9006834107206) ~ UK ~ Jazz Recorded: 1997 Released: 2000 This is a wonderful live album by British Jazz trumpeter / composer Kenny WheelerFind albums by this artist, recorded at the legendary Viennese Jazz club Porgy & Bess with an Austrian quartet led by saxophonist Christian MaurerFind albums by this artist, which also included pianist Helmar HillFind albums by this artist, bassist Christian SteinerFind albums by this artist and drummer Alfred VollbauerFind albums by this artist. Together the quintet performs six compositions: three originals by Wheeler, one original each by Maurer and Vollbauer and one standard. The excellently recorded music allows an intimate experience of listening to Wheeler and his younger cohorts playing their hearts out. Obviously invigorated by the presence of these young, but by all means very able players, Wheeler is able to stretch out and play a series of wonderfully relaxed expanded soli, which are all as brilliant as expected. The most interesting piece on the album is the original piece by Vollbauer, which is the most open-form composition on the album and allows Wheeler to show his Free Jazz chops, which he used relatively rarely in the last years of his career. But of course his splendid balladry and mainstream playing is every bit as marvelous and worth being heard. The immediacy and obviously less formal atmosphere of this live session is a superb opportunity to get a glimpse of a somewhat less polished Wheeler performance in its full splendor, which is obviously worth its weight in gold. Overall the is a little known gem which is an absolute must for Wheeler´s many connoisseurs, a must in every serious collection of his extended discography and a piece of Jazz history, which deserves to be preserved for posterity.

The rhythm section comprises of bass guitarist Robert RieglerFind albums by this artist and drummer Wolfgang RainerFind albums by this artist. The album presents ten tracks, five composed by Anna Maurer, four by Christian Maurer and one is a standard. The music is all wonderfully melodic and mostly up-tempo mainstream Jazz, excellently performed by the quartet and sparkling with energy and vigor. Christian is a superb saxophonist, with years of experience playing with the best musicians in Europe. The young Anna follows her Father in his Jazz footsteps with obvious talent and youthful Groove. Riegler is a monster bass guitar virtuoso, with a Funky / Fusiony feel, which kicks the music forward, and finally Rainer adds an energetic rhythmic drums layer, to make everything work like a clockwork from the neighboring Switzerland. Overall, this is a truly delightful album, which takes the listener on a hurricane driven ride from one tune to the next, full of beautiful melodies and precise execution, which is a breeze of fresh air in the almost lethargic atmosphere that rules in contemporary Jazz. The music is exciting and highly entertaining, without compromising any artistic standards, and offers a delightful listening experience in today’s gloomy reality. Well done!
