Evans of course was the greatest jazz pianist of all time and a class in himself. His superb technique, but even more importantly his exceptional feel of melody and lyrical expressionism are unmatched. His favorite format was the piano trio (piano, bass & drums) and the majority of his very extensive recorded legacy is in that format. This album is a prime example of the trio format (with Eddie GomezFind albums by this artist - bass and Elliot ZigmundFind albums by this artist - drums). An absolute must!
